I traditionel kinesisk medicin (TCM) behandles mennesket ved at kigge på ubalancer i et eller flere af de ovenstående elementer. Efteråret står for metal, her er de sidste blade ved at falde af træerne, solens timer bliver færre, og det er tid til at ”give slip”. Organerne i elementet er lunger (indre/yin) og tyktarm (ydre/yang). Begge organer, som hjælper os med at give “slip” i form af ind/udånding, O2/CO2, og give slip i tarmene … I TCM menes det, at ubalancer i området kan give udfald som fx fordøjelsesproblemer som oppustethed/forstoppelse, astma, at man er nedtrykt/depressiv, hudproblemer som tørhed, uren hud, grå/trist hud, sekreter fra skede/lunger, men er elementet i balance, kan du føle dig mere let og lykkelig og få en bedre lugtesans og en fin hud.
Mange mennesker døjer med enten fordøjelsesproblemer eller dårlig hud – eller ligefrem astma og forstoppelse. Når du begynder at arbejde med elementerne, kan du opleve en forvandling, fx finere hud, normal afføring, du kan føle dig ”lettere “og måske ligefrem lykkeligere.
Styrk dit metal-element
Lungernes opgave er at optage ilt og videreføre den til kredsløbet for igen at udskille ilten som kuldioxid. Derfor er vejrtrækning alfa og omega for en sund krop og balance i livet. Når vi trækker vejret, bruger vi mellemgulvsmusklen, som er en af vores åndedrætsmuskler. Arbejdes der med åndedrættet, bliver vores fordøjelse automatisk stimuleret, da vi øger tarmens peristaltiske bevægelser. Vi bliver bedre til at “give slip” og komme af med affaldsstoffer.
Vejrtrækningen virker ikke kun fysisk, men også mentalt. Du kender sætningen: “Tag en dyb vejrtrækning”, og du får kroppen til at falde til ro. Bruger du tid på åndedrættet, frigives dopamin, som virker beroligende, og vagusnerven reguleres. Det er en af de helt store nerver, som har direkte forbindelse til vores fordøjelse. Lungernes optimale energi er ifølge organuret kl. 3-5 om morgenen, hvorefter tyktarmen tager over fra kl. 5-7.
Kobler vi femelementsteorien på fx vores hud/fordøjelse, kan det være fint at stå op kl. 5-6. Her er energien maksimal. Prøv at drikke et glas citronvand til at fremme fordøjelsen, men også til at give ny energi til lidt morgenyoga, hvor der automatisk er fokus på åndedrættet. Er du i tvivl om, hvordan du skal dyrke yoga, så gå på YouTube, og søg på yoga, så finder du en video, som passer netop dig.
Vejrtrækningen gavner dig fysisk og psykisk.
Plej dit største organ
Vores hud er vores største og mest levende organ. Her sidder en masse følelser, både indre følelser og fysiske, da huden indeholder tusindvis af nerver. Det er derfor vigtigt, at du værner om dit mentale heldbred, da din hud nemt kan afsløre din tilstand i form af tør hud, slap hud og akne.
Collagen filler fra New Nordic er med til at opbygge dine kollagene og elastine fibre, som ellers nedbrydes med alderen. Fibre, som nedbrydes hurtigere ved fx rygning, solbadning, stress og uhensigtsmæssig ernæring. Kollagen hjælper dig altså med at få en fastere og mere ensartet hud uanset din alder. Brug kosttilskuddet fra ca. 25 år.
Rygning, solbadning, stress og uhensigtsmæssig ernæring nedbryder kollagen hurtigere.
Sund tarm, sundt liv
Fordøjelsen er også vigtig, når vi gerne vil arbejde med hudens tilstand og de fem elementer. Tyktarmen, som repræsenterer metal, har til opgave at lagre resterne af tyndtarmens arbejde for at kunne udskille det igen. Mennesker, som lider af forstoppelse, har ofte problemer med fx huden. Tyktarmens optimale energi er kl. 5-7 om morgenen. Derfor er det vigtigt at have en sund fordøjelse, som er hverken under- eller overaktiv. Du kan styrke din fordøjelse med probiotika, fx mælkesyrebakterier fra NDS. Spis også præbiotika, så du nærer dine egne bakterier i tarmen og hjælper dem med at vokse sig stærke.
Mad som fx surkål, grøn te, mørk chokolade, kefir, kål, jordstokker, asparges, hvidløg, æbler, loppefrøskaller, bønner/bælgfrugter og kombucha (fermenteret te) er også godt for fordøjelsen.
Hudpleje til efteråret
Det er vigtigt at finde en god balance imellem produkter, som tilfører fugt, men også næring. En god fugtserum, du kan anvende inde under din foretrukne dagcreme, er fra det danske mærke Juhldahl, serum no 3. Den indeholder aktive ingredienser fra blandt andet aloe vera, men også morgenfrue. Morgenfrue er en smuk blomst og også meget effektiv i hudpleje, da den genopbygger huden med carotener og sarpoiner. Sarpoiner er et phytoøstrogen, som genopbygger hudens kollagene fibre. Morgenfrue bliver også brugt til fx eksem og psoriasis, da den har antiinflammatorisk virkning. Inden du går i seng, kan du anvende face & body oil, også fra Juhldahl, som er ren koldpresset abrikoskerneolie. Gå altid efter koldpressede olier. Koldpresset er den mest skånsomme metode at udvinde olien på, og her anvendes olien fra første presning. Olien er derfor rigere på A- og E-vitamin, som virker reparerende.
Husk at pleje din hud med produkter, som både tilfører næring og fugt.
Olien passer til både dehydreret, moden, sart og irriteret hud, den er vegansk og uden tilsat parfume. Anvend olien på en nyrenset og let fugtig hud. På den måde bliver den nemt absorberet uden at virke fedtende på huden. Brug det sidste, du har på hænderne, til dine hårspidser. De vil elske at blive næret i den kolde tid.
Til uren hud kunne det fx være Day Solution fra Greenpeople; den er fremstillet til at afbalancere en hud med øget talgproduktion. Den indeholder desuden probiotika, som styrker huden, og pilebark, som har et naturligt indhold af salicin, som virker rensende på urenheder via de inflammationshæmmende egenskaber. Du finder også kamille og aloe vera, som lindrer rødme og irritation.
Hvis du har problemer med fx uren hud eller slap hud, så er det vigtigt at kigge på hele din livsstil som kost, mentalt helbred, fysik og søvn. Start stille ud med at gøre gode ting for dig selv hver dag, fx morgenyoga, bare 5-10 min, et glas citronvand på fastende hjerte, en jadestensrulle med en dejlig olie, kosttilskud eller noget helt andet.
