For nylig var jeg på et kursus for telefonrådgivere på den rådgivningslinje, jeg arbejder på som frivillig. Vi blev bedt om at reflektere over det liv, vi havde haft, sammenholdt med de forventninger, vi havde haft og derudover at beskrive, hvad det var for en følelse, der fyldte mest i vores liv. Overraskende var mange af kursisternes beskrivelser kendetegnet ved en fællesnævner: taknemmelighed. Overraskende, fordi størstedelen af deltagerne havde oplevet mange store kriser og mange traumatiserende oplevelser, og at livet NETOP IKKE var gået som ønsket – tværtimod. Dette gælder også set med mine egne briller. Mit liv er bestemt ikke lige gået som forventet, og masser af kriser og traumatiserende oplevelser præger også mit liv.
Jeg har ikke gjort noget specielt for at opnå denne følelse af generel taknemmelighed. Det er ”bare noget, som er kommet” gennem årene. Og det har, uden at jeg har tænkt nærmere over det, ændret mit livssyn og på et eller andet plan gjort mig lykkeligere. Hvad er det, følelsen af taknemmelighed egentlig gør for os? Og er der forskning, der understøtter dette?
Taknemmelighed er godt for dig
Taknemmelighed er godt for dig og er en mental tilstand. At være taknemmelig hjælper os ikke kun med at dyrke følelsesmæssigt velvære, men det har også en positiv indvirkning på vores fysiske helbred.
Taknemmelighed og videnskaben
